Glossary Dry Container

A Dry Container, also known as a General Purpose (GP) Container, is the most commonly used container that can carry most types of cargo for general transport that does not require temperature control. It has one or more doors on at least one end wall and is a rigid six-sided container with a leak-proof structure. Some dry containers also have a rigid opening and opening device on the roof or side walls.
