Glossary POD (Proof of Delivery)

POD stands for Proof of Delivery, which is a document used in supply chain and logistics operations to verify that order or delivery has been accurately fulfilled. Typically, a POD will record information such as the date and time the goods were received, the delivery address, the number of goods delivered, and the signature of the recipient. This information is usually recorded by the delivery driver or the recipient after the order or delivery has been completed, and a copy of the document is provided to the recipient. PODs are used to confirm that the goods ordered by the customer have been delivered correctly and to ensure that there are no issues or disputes during the logistics process.
