Glossary Inland Transport

Inland transport refers to the movement of goods or cargo within a country or region using various modes of transportation such as trucks, trains, or barges. Inland transport may involve several steps, including the collection of goods from the manufacturer or supplier, loading and unloading of cargo, and transportation to the nearest transportation hub such as a seaport, airport, or railway station. In some cases, inland transport may also involve the use of multimodal transportation, where more than one mode of transport is used to move the goods to their final destination.
