Glossary CFS (Container Freight Station)

Container Freight Station (CFS) is a storage facility where export or import cargo is temporarily stored or processed before being loaded into a container. The CFS is typically located near ports or airports and provides logistics services for ocean or air transportation. In this process, shippers or logistics companies pay for their cargo to be stored in the CFS and then properly packed and inspected to ensure the containerized cargo is loaded safely and efficiently.
