Glossary Baltic International Maritime Conference (BIMCO)

 The Baltic International Maritime Conference(BIMCO) is a private association that was established in Copenhagen for the mutual benefit of shipowners who participated in the trade at the Baltic and the White Sea in 1905. The name of the association changed to its current name as the organization of BIMCO was drastically restructured in 1927. BIMCO focuses on economic and commercial cooperation of international shipping. In 1906, it developed the Baltime Form which is a form for time charter agreements.
